Woodland Community College District, Administration of Justice
Program: Summer Camp Academy
With declining ROP and Tech Prep course offerings, students may
slip through the cracks without a link to the community college
system. The Woodland Community College Administration of Justice
program met this challenge by offering a Summer Camp Academy – a
boot camp. Students engaged in six weeks of grueling training,
obstacle courses, self-realization, personal development and
coursework, and received six units of college credit (General
Education and degree applicable.) This program links secondary
students to post-secondary education and serves nontraditional
students in Career Technical Education.
