American River College, Student Success Program
American River College has received funding to provide support
and assistance to low-income, first-generation, or disabled college
students to ensure they remain in school and graduate. The funding
is from the federal Department of Education’s Student Support
Services Program. Services provided to these students include
instruction in obtaining financial aid assistance, basic study
skills, tutorial services, career guidance, personal counseling, and
mentoring. The grant will ensure that the college can provide new,
innovative success-oriented services that might not otherwise be
available.
