and Retaining Women in Nontraditional Positions
This valuable resource focuses on recruitment and retention of
women in nontraditional trades. It draws upon the results of a
survey conducted by the California Apprenticeship Council. The
toolkit includes information on how to provide accurate information
to women about nontraditional careers, support them as they enter
and move up in their careers and how to help them continue to grow
in their jobs and careers by developing their leadership skills. By
employing the toolkit strategies, you can give women in
nontraditional occupations the tools they need to overcome some of
the most common obstacles to women’s success in the trades.”
